AliExpress Task Scam: Deposits Required to Unlock Orders

A WhatsApp message from a foreign number starts with an offer of "daily earnings through AliExpress". The user is signed up to a website and led to believe that commission will be paid as order tasks are completed; after a few steps, the tasks are tied to the person depositing their own money in dollar amounts.

In short: The scheme offering tasks and commission under the AliExpress name is not authorised in Türkiye by the Capital Markets Board (SPK). AliExpress has no connection with this scheme; its name is being misused. The money is moved through crypto to foreign wallets. Tracing the amount paid and claiming it back is legally possible.

🚩 The Task Flow Step by Step

  1. The person is contacted on WhatsApp from a foreign number and signed up to a website.
  2. They are told that commission will be paid once a set of 60 order tasks in the app is completed.
  3. After the sixth or seventh task, a deposit in dollar amounts is requested to "unlock" the task.
  4. As the tasks advance, the amount requested grows; payments are made in crypto to foreign wallets.

🏷️ AliExpress and This Scheme

AliExpress is a real e-commerce marketplace owned by the Alibaba Group and does not run a programme that pays users commission for order tasks. The only purpose of using the name is to create trust through a familiar brand.
