CIFMarkets Scam Warning: Withdrawal Blocked, Advance Fee Demanded

CIFMarkets presents itself as a South African licensed intermediary offering forex, index, share and commodity CFDs at cifmarkets.com. The scheme described in the exposure record circulated in October 2026 is a familiar one: the first small withdrawal is paid, and once the balance grows the door closes.

In short: CIFMarkets is not authorised in Türkiye by the Capital Markets Board (SPK). After a withdrawal request, the account is drained through guided trades and an upfront percentage is demanded to "release" the money; these are the distinguishing steps of this scheme. Legal routes exist for claiming back the money that was sent.

🚩 What Happens After a Withdrawal Request?

  • In the first month a small withdrawal is allowed to "verify" the account; trust is built with this payment.
  • Once the balance has grown, the withdrawal request that follows is rejected.
  • When a full withdrawal is requested, trades opened on the representative's guidance bring the account close to zero.
  • Return of the remaining principal and profit is made conditional on a percentage to be paid in advance.

🔍 Company Structure and Contact Traces

The site names ACLIVE WEALTH ADVISORY (PTY) LTD, with a Rosebank, Johannesburg address, as the operator, and ACLIVE ADVISORY (UK) LTD in London and ACLIVE ADVISORY (CY) LTD in Limassol as payment agents. The British company was incorporated in February 2026 and is registered with an activity code of "other business support services" rather than financial services. The contact details used are [email protected] and +44 1952 989336; the domain was registered in April 2025.

In its decision No. 8/297 of 24.02.2017, the Capital Markets Board (SPK) announced that leveraged trading accounts opened with institutions abroad fall outside the regulations that protect investors. Authorisation status can be checked on the SPK list of authorised intermediary institutions.

❓ Frequently Asked Questions

My first withdrawal was paid. Doesn't that show CIFMarkets is reliable?

No. The small first payment is used as a step that builds trust for larger deposits.

Is a South African licence valid in Türkiye?

No. A claim of a foreign licence does not replace SPK authorisation, and CIFMarkets is not authorised in Türkiye by the Capital Markets Board (SPK).

I was asked to pay a percentage to withdraw. Is this a normal fee?

No. Making a withdrawal conditional on an advance fee is the final stage of this scheme; the amount paid goes to the same accounts.

I am a CIFMarkets victim. What should I do?
