Ponzi Scheme and Chain Scheme Fraud Under Turkish Law

Ponzi schemes and pyramid-style schemes are fraud schemes in which there is no real source of profit and earlier participants are paid with money collected from new participants. The subject is covered below for information purposes.
⚖️ Legal Nature
Because such schemes involve obtaining a benefit through deceit, they are mostly treated as fraud (Articles 157-158 of the Turkish Penal Code)TR. The key distinguishing feature is that the system does not rest on a sustainable investment activity but constantly needs new participants.
In short: In a Ponzi or pyramid-style scheme, the source of payment is not real profit but the money of new participants.
🔍 Warning Signs
Promises of fixed, high returns, "risk-free profit" talk, earnings tied to bringing in new members, and obstacles that appear when withdrawing money are commonly seen signs. These signs may also raise the question of unauthorised collection of money from the publicTR.
🛡️ From the Victim's Side
Victims may take part in the process through a criminal complaint, account freezing and compensation claims. Payment receipts sent to the scheme and correspondence are important evidence.
