Placing EGX, the international abbreviation of the Egyptian Exchange, into its name, "EGX VIP INVESTMENT" is a Telegram-based group that collects money from its members for investment. The Financial Regulatory Authority of Egypt (FRA) placed the group on its warning list on 25 October 2026 for unauthorised fundraising.

📈 How Does a VIP Share Group Operate?

In groups of this kind, a free "stock of the day" and screenshots of profits are shared first. At the next stage, payment is requested for moving to the "VIP" section, or money is deposited into an account or application run by the group. The profit grows on the screen; at withdrawal an extra fee is demanded.

🔍 The Official Warning and the Telegram Trail

According to the FRA record, the group made a public call to collect money for investment without following the legal procedure in Egypt. The warning lists the group's Telegram ID as 6956075665. The authority's official warning record is open to review.

The real Egyptian Exchange has no connection with this group; the name is used only to build trust. The group is not authorised by SPK; authorised institutions can be verified in the SPK list. SPK Decision No. 5/173 of 03.02.2017 serves as a warning against unauthorised investment referral through social media.
