Quantara Capitals Scam Warning: Fake London Address, US Phone

Quantara Capitals is a fraud operation that collects funds from customers under the name of CFD and forex investment. It was warned about by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) in March 2026. The company uses a fake address to appear London-based and attracts customers with a US telephone number (suspicious for a London business) and e-mail addresses. Related domains such as Quantara FX and quantarafx.com have also received separate FCA warnings.
🚩 Licence Status and Legal Warnings
Quantara Capitals does not hold any financial licence. Quantara Capitals is not authorised in Türkiye by the Capital Markets Board (SPK); in Türkiye, CFD and forex services can be offered only by institutions licensed by SPK. The address the company uses, "1 Canada Square, Canary Wharf, London, E14 5AB", is a real address in London, but Quantara Capitals has no official office at this address. This is a common tactic in fraud operations.

🔍 How the Scam Works
Quantara Capitals acts as a fake CFD/forex intermediary institution and collects funds from customers. The mechanism of the fraud is as follows:
- Fake corporate appearance: It uses a real business address in London (Canary Wharf) to create a sense of legitimacy, but there is no real office at this address.
- Multi-channel communication: It provides customer service by e-mail, telephone (a US number) and Telegram, creating the illusion of easy access.
- Promise of CFD/forex investment: It persuades customers to deposit money with promises such as "low spreads", "high leverage" and "fast profit".
- Withdrawal blocks: It prevents customers from withdrawing their money with excuses such as "verification errors", "system updates" and "missing documents".
- Demands for extra payments: It demands additional payments such as a "transaction fee" or "tax" from customers who try to withdraw money.
🧭 Ways to Detect It
The following points help to recognise Quantara Capitals and similar fraudulent intermediary institutions:
- Address verification: Even where the stated address is real, the company has to be verified independently of that address. Quantara Capitals has no real office at "1 Canada Square".
- Telephone number: A US number (+1702) can be an abnormal sign for a company claiming to be based in London. Genuine London numbers usually begin with +44.
- SPK list: Quantara Capitals does not appear in the SPK list of licensed institutions.
- FCA warnings: Quantara Capitals, Quantara FX and quantarafx.com are all on the FCA warning list.
- Related domains: The use of several domains (quantaracapitals.com, quantarafx.com) by the same company is a recurring feature of such operations.
🛡️ Protection and Precautions

- Independent check of the telephone number: The number given can be searched on the internet to see whether it leads to genuine company details.
- Address verification: An address can be verified independently through maps, street-level imagery and local company registers.
- Legal warnings: The FCA warning list, finance forums and independent reports are the usual places to look.
- Communication records: The records usually requested in any later legal review include all e-mails, chats and transaction details.
