Universal Stock Trading Scam: Clone of a Licensed Firm

Universal Stock Trading is a site that says it offers share and currency trading but borrows its identity from the name of International Capital Markets Pty Ltd, a firm licensed in Australia. ASIC has flagged universalstocktrading.com as a clone of that company.

🔍 What Is Behind the Site?

• Domain: universalstocktrading.com was acquired in August 2025 through a shared hosting company.
• Site build: The pages give the impression of a template pulled from another site with an automatic copying tool; there is no original corporate content.
• Imitated institution: International Capital Markets Pty Ltd (Australia) — the cloned site has no connection with this company.

🚩 Collecting Investments Under a Cloned Name

In schemes of this kind the victim is told to "check our licence number" and is shown the real company's record, while payment is requested into personal accounts or crypto wallets. In its decision No. 8/297 of 24 February 2017, the SPK described intermediation from Türkiye for leveraged trading platforms abroad as unauthorised activity. The name Universal Stock Trading does not appear in the SPK list of authorised institutions.
