Fusion Markets Name Misused in Forex Scam Warning

Fusion Markets is a real brokerage established in Australia and licensed by the regulator of its own country. In Türkiye, however, the name is mentioned to people reached by phone in order to give them the confidence of a "global broker"; when they try to withdraw profit, new payments are demanded under pretexts such as tax, an activation fee or completing a lot volume.
🏷️ The Difference Between the Real Fusion Markets and the Imitation
The real company is based in Melbourne and uses the address fusionmarkets.com. It has no relationship with the operations that collect money from Turkish investors through "account managers" reached by phone; the name is borrowed to build trust. Fusion Pro Markets, which we have covered before on our site, is a separate operation.
Whatever name they go by, these operations collecting money from investors in Türkiye are not authorised by the SPK; they have no counterpart in the SPK list of authorised brokerage firms. A foreign licence does not replace permission to operate in Türkiye.
🚩 Payments Demanded at the Withdrawal Stage
- Profit is inflated on the screen, and when a withdrawal is requested a "tax liability" is said to have arisen.
- A separate fee is demanded to "activate" the account.
- A lot volume requirement that was never mentioned earlier is put forward.
- The representative steers the client into positions that do not match market data and wears the balance down.
- Even when payment is made, the withdrawal does not happen and contact is cut off.
🔗 Other Schemes Using a Well-Known Name
Using the name of a licensed institution as a shield is a frequently used method. We have previously reviewed other schemes that follow the same pattern:
- A fake trading platform opened in the UBS name
- N26 Global Invest and the use of a digital bank's name
- Fake KCM Trade: a clone site in a real broker's name
- How brokerage and bank clone sites operate
🧭 The Legal Process
Whether the entity to which the money was sent is actually authorised is established through an SPK licence queryTR. The use of a known institution's name and deception carried out through computer tools are assessed under the provisions on qualified fraudTR. The later stages are summarised in the article on the path a forex victim follows.
