sbinvestmentfund.co – Scam Misusing the Sterling Bond Fund Name

A "calm" product such as a bond fund raises less suspicion than a promise of high returns. The scheme using the addresses sbinvestmentfund.org and sbinvestmentfund.co made use of exactly this; it reached investors by taking on the name of a real corporate bond fund approved in the UK.

In short: sbinvestmentfund is not authorised in Türkiye by the Capital Markets Board (SPK) and is a clone website imitating the name of a real fund. The FCA issued a clone warning in June 2026 and updated the entry in July. The Sterling Corporate Bond Fund has no connection with this scheme; its name is being misused. Tracing money sent to clone funds is legally possible.

🎭 Whose Fund Name Was Used?

The imitated product is the FCA-approved Sterling Corporate Bond Fund. The clone scheme earlier presented itself as "Sterling Bond Fund" and used a real registration number. The real fund has no connection whatsoever with these websites; the similar name was chosen deliberately to gain trust.

🔍 Phone Numbers and Domains of the Clone Scheme

The warning entry lists the following numbers as belonging to the clone scheme:

  • +44 20 8073 2077 and 020 3996 7136 (appearing as London landlines)
  • +44 7810 159782 and +44 7346 273446 (mobile lines)
  • +44 1224 015229

sbinvestmentfund.org was registered on 5 March 2026 and placed behind Cloudflare; the address with the .co extension has closed access to visitors.

🔗 Clone Website Cases

We have covered before the scheme that uses the name and registration number of a real British institution:

🧭 The Process for Victims

In clone fund cases the money is usually sent by international transfer; for this reason the recall of a SWIFT transfer and examination of the money laundering linkTR come to the fore. Acts of this kind are assessed as qualified fraud under Article 158/1-f of the Turkish Penal Code. For detailed information and legal support, you can contact Savun Law & Consultancy.
