⚠ Scam Methods
The techniques used by the scam platform called Steam Finance follow the patterns of traditional forex fraud:
- Imitation of the legitimate operator: It tries to gain trust by fully copying the name, logo design, FCA licence number and corporate appearance of Steam Capital Ltd.
- Fake promises of success: It makes attractive offers with unrealistic return rates and earnings, and puts investors under time pressure.
- Success with the first withdrawal: Small first withdrawal requests are approved so that victims see the platform as reliable. Later, larger withdrawals are blocked.
- Requests for extra payments: Additional payments are requested under excuses such as "tax", "management fee" and "security check" before the money can be withdrawn.
- Closing of communication channels: After the victim deposits money, contact is cut off, accounts are closed and the platform disappears.

✅ Protection Guide
Step 1: SPK check
Before trading with any forex platform, it is important to see whether the platform appears on the SPK's official list of licensed intermediary institutions. In Türkiye, forex transactions are regulated by the SPK.
Step 2: Examining the domain name
- Domain names that resemble official institution names but differ slightly (such as steamfinance.online or steam-finance.net) are the method scammers use most often.
- The official website of the real Steam Capital Ltd is found under its own correct domain name.
Step 3: Verifying the licence number
Whether a platform is really authorised can be confirmed by looking up the licence number in the FCA's official register. Imitated licence numbers are a frequently seen method.
Step 4: Caution before withdrawals
- Platforms that do not allow withdrawals are not a place for further deposits.
- Any request for an extra payment is a reason to end communication immediately.
