UnicornFX Live Scam Warning: Fake Canadian Certificate

UnicornFX Live is an online forex platform that presented itself as a currency broker supervised in Canada and tried to back this claim with a fabricated certificate. Trust was built on an audit document that never existed.

📜 How Was the Fake Supervision Certificate Used?

In a warning published in November 2021, IIROC, the investment industry self-regulatory organisation in Canada, stated that UnicornFX presented itself as a forex broker supervised by IIROC and used a fake certificate for this purpose. The same warning stressed that IIROC does not issue certificates to the institutions it supervises.

The document is prepared so that the investor concludes "this firm is supervised". It looks as if there were supervision, but no such record exists.
