Fake Binance Phone Call Scam: +90 312 905 08 49

A new telephone scam aimed at crypto users has been identified. People presenting themselves as "Binance Global" officials call users from the number +90 312 905 08 49 and try to reach account details or assets by creating panic. These calls have nothing to do with the real Binance exchange; the callers are impersonators using the name of a well-known brand.
📞 How Does the Call Scenario Work?
The method rests on an emergency scenario that leaves the person no time to think. The caller speaks in a confident, corporate tone and makes claims such as:
- "A withdrawal is being attempted from your account right now, and we need to stop the transaction."
- "Your email address has been changed; your account may have been taken over."
- "To place your assets under protection, we are transferring you to the security unit."
The panicking user is asked over the phone for a verification code, a password or identity details; in some cases the user is instructed to move assets to a "safe wallet". Every code shared and every transfer made goes directly to accounts controlled by the fraudsters.
🔍 A Real Exchange Does Not Work This Way
Crypto exchanges do not phone their users to ask for passwords, verification codes or transfer instructions; security notices are sent through in-app messages and the registered email address. Even if the person claiming to be an "official" gives an employee ID number, that is not verification, because such details are part of the script. Landline numbers such as 0312 905 08 49, used in these calls, are chosen on purpose to give a corporate appearance.
🛡️ Protection
- A genuine exchange never needs a code, password or identity detail over the phone from someone calling on its behalf.
- When a warning about an account arrives, the situation is checked only through the official channels of the app, after the call has ended.
- A request to "transfer to a safe wallet" is, in every circumstance, a fraud attempt.
