Fidelity Guarantee Trust Bank Scam: Not a Real Bank

Putting together trust-evoking words such as "bank", "trust" and "guarantee" to give the impression of an established international bank, Fidelity Guarantee Trust Bank is one of the operations that approach investors with promises of high-yield deposits and currency/forex trading. Through the corporate air of its name, an attempt is made to create the impression of a link with a real bank.

🏦 An Investment Trap Under the Look of a Bank

This operation uses a name reminiscent of well-known financial brands and aims to gain trust at the first contact. Offers of "guaranteed profit" and "high-interest accounts" arriving by e-mail, social media or messaging apps bear no resemblance to real banking products. Once money is deposited, the so-called account appears to grow on the screen, while withdrawal of the money is blocked each time with a new excuse.

📉 Authorisation and Licence Status

Fidelity Guarantee Trust Bank is not authorised in Türkiye by the Capital Markets Board (SPK) and has no permit to carry out banking or capital markets activity in Türkiye. There are similar "trust bank" brands that have also been flagged as unauthorised firms by international regulators; however, even where a foreign registration exists, it gives no protection to an investor in Türkiye. The current list of intermediary institutions that may operate in Türkiye can be confirmed on the official SPK page: SPK list of authorised intermediary institutions.

🔍 Points That Stand Out

  • A trust-evoking brand name chosen so that it can be confused with a real bank.
  • No transparent head office address subject to official supervision and no verifiable contact details.
  • Extra payments requested under names such as "tax", "commission" or "account approval" when a withdrawal is requested.

❓ Frequently Asked Questions

Is Fidelity Guarantee Trust Bank a real bank?

Despite the word "bank" in its name, it has no connection with a recognised bank in Türkiye and no authorisation for regular banking activity has been identified.

Why should a promise of guaranteed returns raise suspicion?

No legitimate financial institution can commit to a fixed and guaranteed high return. The expression is a typical deception method used to build trust before payment.

My balance appears to be growing; why can I not withdraw it?

In schemes of this kind the balance on the screen is only an interface display; the amount shown has no real backing. Constantly meeting new payment demands at the withdrawal stage is an indicator of this.

I was a victim; what can I do?
