Sinomine Resource Scam: Fake Platform Misusing a Mining Name

Sinomine Resource, a scheme that uses the name of a well-known listed mining and energy company, is a fake investment platform with no connection to the real company. Promising high returns on the pretext of lithium and rare-metal investment, the scheme deliberately exploits the similarity of names to abuse investors' trust.
🚨 Misuse of a Well-Known Company Name
The fraudsters imitate the name and corporate identity of a respected mining group that is genuinely listed on the stock exchange, creating the impression of a legitimate investment opportunity. The platform that people encounter has no partnership, agency or subsidiary relationship with the real company. The name overlap is a trap chosen to mislead victims into believing they are "investing in an established institution". The real company has no connection with this scheme; its name is being misused.
🎯 How Does the Trap Work?
The approach usually begins through social media adverts, so-called expert tips in messaging apps and closed investment groups. The target is directed to a downloaded app or a web panel.
- A fake table is shown on screen in which the account appears to gain value quickly; these figures have no counterpart in a real market.
- When a withdrawal is requested, extra payments are demanded under names such as "tax", "commission" or "account verification".
- As payments are made, new excuses are produced; in the end the account is locked and all contact is cut off.
🔍 Legal Status
The platform operating under the name Sinomine Resource is not authorised in Türkiye by the Capital Markets Board (SPK) and has no legal entity authorised to provide investment services in Türkiye. An SPK permit is mandatory for an intermediary institution to carry out investment activity in Türkiye; money collected without this permit is not under legal protection. Authorisation status can be confirmed on the official SPK list: spk.gov.tr/faaliyet-izinleri/araci-kurumlar
🛡️ Checks Before Investing
- An institution's SPK licence can be verified on the official list.
- Whether a platform carrying a well-known company's name has any real link with that company's official channels can be queried.
- Referrals from messaging groups that promise "risk-free profit" deserve no credibility.
