gfo-xx.com – Clone Scam Misusing the GFO-X Name

gfo-xx.com is a clone site imitating GFO-X (Global Futures and Options Ltd), a London-based, FCA-authorised crypto derivatives trading platform. Set up by adding a single extra "x" to the real firm's domain name, the site uses the reputation of a brand known for Bitcoin futures and options to gather investors.
⚖️ The Difference Between the Real GFO-X and the Clone Site
The real firm, Global Futures and Options Ltd, is entered on the FCA register under reference number 945035; its official domain is gfo-x.com and its address is 36-38 Botolph Lane, London. In its warning of 24 July 2026, the FCA stated clearly that the real firm has no connection with the clone; the Norwegian Finanstilsynet has also carried this warning onto its own list. No responsibility can be placed on the real GFO-X because its name is being imitated.
🚩 How the Clone Site Works
gfo-xx.com was registered on 7 January 2026 and is not online at present. According to the FCA, clone schemes present the real firm's reference number and address mixed with their own fake telephone numbers and emails. Imitating an institution's name and carrying out the transaction over the internet brings the conduct within the aggravated forms of fraud in Article 158 of the Turkish Penal Code.
- A one-letter difference from the real domain: gfo-xx.com instead of gfo-x.com.
- The real firm's registration details are sent to the investor with the words "verify this".
- A promise of high profit through a complex product such as crypto futures.
