IFC International Scam: Teams Guidance, Tax Withdrawal Block

IFC International appears as a platform that gathers investors with the promise of high profits from forex, derivatives and commodity trading on overseas exchanges. In victims' accounts, the balance that grows in the "IFC International" app installed on the phone is locked at the withdrawal stage under the excuses of "tax", "insurance" and "instruction", and each obstacle comes with a new payment demand.

🚩 Guidance Through Microsoft Teams and the Commodity Promise
According to user reports, IFC International conducts its communication with the investor through Microsoft Teams rather than WhatsApp or Telegram. A corporate meeting tool is chosen to give the operation the look of an "in-house team": a list made up of representative names, telephone numbers and names presented as "business partners" is reported to be shared on the Teams page, and the investor is guided step by step by this team.
The product promised is marketed not so much as classic currency pairs but as commodity trading on overseas exchanges. An app called "IFC International" is installed on the investor's phone, and within a short time a balance of tens of thousands of dollars starts to appear in it. There is no verifiable record that these figures correspond to any real market transaction; the balance on screen is merely an indicator used to persuade the investor to make new payments.
Payments are sent by bank transfer (havale/EFT) not to an account opened in the platform's own name but to the bank accounts of different individuals introduced as "accounting officers". The recipient account changing with each payment is a typical method for scattering the trail of the money. According to the reports, the process began in early April 2026 and continued with new payment demands at intervals until mid-May; during this period a significant amount of money is reported to have been collected from the investor.
💸 The Withdrawal Block Under the Excuse of "Tax" and "Insurance"
The most distinctive stage of the IFC International scheme begins with the withdrawal request. Victims' accounts describe that at the start of the process a few small withdrawals were actually paid. These small payments are made deliberately to increase the investor's trust in the platform and to get them to send larger amounts.
When the investor wants to withdraw most of the balance, the request is "suspended". As the reason, it is said that "accounts above 5,000 USD are subject to tax", and a tax amount is demanded first, followed by new payments under the names "insurance" and "instruction". Another user trading through a web trading (WebTrader) page used under the name "IFC" on the same platform was also reported to have met an extra money demand when asking for a withdrawal in March 2026, and when the payment was not made, an account at a crypto exchange was shown with the words "this is your wallet".
- Small withdrawals are paid; a large withdrawal is stopped on the ground of "tax".
- After the tax is paid, "insurance" and "instruction" charges come up.
- The amounts demanded are shown as proportional to the balance to be withdrawn, which makes them look credible.
- When payment is not made, the balance is kept "pending" or the investor is directed to a crypto exchange.
At a genuine brokerage, tax is deducted from the gain and passed to the tax office; the investor is not asked to send money separately before a withdrawal. The Court of Cassation (Yargıtay) addressed this pattern in its decision no. 2026/3017, which treated a demand for a tax payment to release gains as a fraud schemeTR.
🎁 The Bonus Trap and Account Freezing
One of the platform's prominent methods is the bonus offered after the first deposit. It is reported that once the bonus is accepted, the principal also becomes impossible to withdraw, and the whole balance is blocked on the ground of a "turnover requirement". This is a typical example of locking withdrawals through a trading-volume condition attached to a bonusTR.
Users report that after they made a withdrawal request their accounts were locked and their access to the balance was closed. In some cases it is seen that although it was said "the money has been sent", the amount never reached the account. Taken together with the tax and insurance demands, the bonus and the account freeze are two separate tools serving the same aim: the money deposited is not repaid.
🔍 Information Identified About IFC International
- Name used: IFC International; an app of the same name installed on the phone and a WebTrader page presented under the name "IFC".
- Web address in the reports: a domain containing "ifc-f1nance" (the digit "1" is used in place of the letter "i" in the word "finance").
- Communication channel: a "team" set-up through Microsoft Teams.
- Payment route: bank transfer (havale/EFT) to the accounts of different individuals; at a later stage, direction to a crypto exchange.
- Timeline: reports starting in March and April 2026 and continuing until May 2026.
IFC International gives the impression of being set up in offshore jurisdictions with loose supervision. Even where claims of foreign regulation exist, they provide no assurance for an investor in Türkiye. The firm has no activity authorised by the Capital Markets Board (SPK list of authorised institutions). The Capital Markets Board's decision no. 8/297 of 24.02.2017 treats directing customers in Türkiye to overseas leveraged trading platforms as unauthorised activity.
🎯 "Fund Recovery" Offers That Target the Victim a Second Time
Some IFC International victims meet a second trap after losing their money. According to the reports, an operation advertising on Instagram and YouTube in the guise of a law firm reached the victim promising to get the money back; it demanded first a payment under the name of a "paperwork fee", then a transfer to a crypto account, and in the end this operation too proved to be fake.
This pattern suggests that information obtained from the first fraud (the victim's contact details, the platform lost, the payment history) is used in a second fraud. Operations that collect fees with a fund recovery promise usually work through social media adverts, corporate-looking names and an "advance payment" condition.
🔗 Other Platforms Using the Same Method
We have previously covered other platforms that lock the balance with a demand for tax, commission or extra fees at the withdrawal stage and gather investors with a commodity promise. The articles below show how the same scheme is repeated under different names:
- Qevandorix: a balance locked by a commission demand before withdrawalTR
- IBO International: forex, crypto and commodities with an account manager
- Optivex Flow: a platform reaching investors through commodities and CFDsTR
🧭 The Legal Process for Victims
- For money sent by bank transfer (havale/EFT) to the accounts of different individuals, routes for a refund from an overseas forex firm are assessed.
- A criminal complaint process is carried out against the suspects; operations of this kind are assessed under the qualified fraud provisionsTR of the Turkish Penal Code.
- An asset investigationTR is carried out on the holders of the accounts the money reached.
