Refundiks Scam: Fake Fund Recovery Service Taking Upfront Fees

The second blow is often more painful than the first. Refundiks has been reported as a fund recovery operation that approaches people who lost money after being steered to a crypto investment on Instagram, with an offer to get their money back, collects a fee for the refund and produces no result.
🚩 How Does the Refundiks Scheme Work?
The target is a person who has previously lost money to a crypto investment offer on Instagram. Refundiks says the lost amount will be recovered and asks for an upfront fee; after the payment is made, either new cost items appear or contact is cut off. In schemes of this kind, the details from the first fraud are also seen being passed from hand to hand.
🔍 The Domain and the Trail
refundiks.com and refundiks.net turned out to be unregistered; the operation has no known website. Contact is carried out through social media and messaging applications, which shows that the name can be changed within a short time.

🧭 How Does a Genuine Refund Process Work?
These acts, committed through information systems, count as qualified fraud under Article 158/1-f of the Turkish Penal Code (TCK). A refund runs through the identification of the refund routes and a criminal case that proceeds with an SPK reviewTR; an upfront "recovery fee" is not part of this process. Before investing, check whether a platform is authorised by the regulator in your own country (for example the FCA, ASIC or SEC).
