MFD Investment SA (mfdinvestment.com) Scam: FINMA Warning

MFD Investment SA presents itself as a "global broker" and says it offers forex, share, crypto and CFD trading through mfdinvestment.com. The operation, which gives the Swiss canton of Zug as its address, was added by FINMA to its unauthorised-activity warning list on 29 October 2026.

🔎 What the Website and the Official Record Show

• The site offers forex, share, crypto and commodity CFDs, promising different account types, low spreads and high leverage.
• The number +44 1975 968309, in a United Kingdom format, is given as the contact line.
• The domain mfdinvestment.com was registered in June 2026; according to FINMA, the company is not entered in the Swiss commercial register.

🏷️ Its Relation to MFD Investment Holdings SA in the Register

In its warning, FINMA stated clearly that this operation has no connection with MFD Investment Holdings SA, which is entered in the Swiss commercial register. The similar name appears to have been chosen to borrow the reputation of a real company.

📉 How Does the Leveraged Account Scheme Work?

On platforms of this kind, an "account manager" starts with a small first deposit, shows quickly growing profit on the screen and asks for a larger investment. When a withdrawal is requested, margin, commission or a collateral shortfall is given as the reason. Decision No. 8/297 of 24.02.2017 of the Capital Markets Board shows that bringing parties together for leveraged trading is treated as unauthorised activity.
