Qatar First Invest Scam: Lot Trap Blocks Withdrawals

Qatar First Invest is a platform that claims to be a long-established Doha-based investment house and has investors open forex accounts, but at the withdrawal stage sets trading-volume conditions that are practically impossible to meet. In user reports the scheme is also known by the variant name "QATAR FİRST İNVESTS".
🚨 Problems Identified
- False founding date: It claims to have operated since 1986, but the domain was registered in 2020.
- Lot trap: To withdraw money, a trading volume of between 80 and 3,000 lots must be completed.
- Price interference: One-directional buy/sell restrictions and suspicious price movements are reported.
- Unlicensed activity: It has no record with the capital markets regulator of Qatar (QFMA) or with SPK.
🎯 How Does the Lot Trap Work?
The scheme runs in three stages. First a corporate image is drawn with claims such as "Gulf capital" and "more than thirty years of experience"; then the first deposit is taken and profit is allowed to appear on the screen. When a withdrawal is requested, a trading volume of hundreds of lots is put forward as a precondition for it.
An investor trying to reach this volume sees the balance melt away within a short time because of one-directional trading restrictions and sudden price movements. As a result the withdrawal condition can never be completed; even if it were, no balance would remain to be withdrawn. We cover the same logic in detail in our article on the method of giving a bonus and tying withdrawal to a lot conditionTR.
🔍 Findings and the Variant Name
- Platform name: Qatar First Invest — variant spelling: QATAR FİRST İNVESTS
- Claimed location: Doha, Qatar
- Website: qatarfirstinvest.com (domain registered: 2020)
- SPK registration: None
- International licence: None
That the name circulates with Turkish characters and a plural ending ("İNVESTS") shows that the platform is promoted to investors in Türkiye through messaging apps and that the brand name is multiplied through different spellings. The words "Qatar" and "First" were chosen to bring to mind the big sovereign funds and banks of the Gulf; it has no known link with these institutions.
🛡️ Checks Before Investing
- A claim of "decades of experience" can be compared with the domain registration date.
- Account terms that tie withdrawal to a lot (volume) condition can be read before any deposit is made.
- The list of authorised brokerage firms published by SPK shows which firms are licensed in Türkiye. Before investing, it is also worth checking whether a platform is authorised by the regulator in your own country (for example the FCA, ASIC or SEC).
