TenkoFx Scam Warning: Fake Licence Number, Belize IFSC Alert

For most users, a licence number in the footer of a forex site is enough reassurance. The TenkoFx case shows why this can be misleading: the regulator that the number was supposedly issued by has itself stated that the number used by the platform is fake.

🚩 The Belize Regulator’s Warning

In its warning dated 15 October 2020, the Belize International Financial Services Commission (IFSC) stated that the entity called "TenkoFx Forex Trading Services" has no licence to provide financial services from Belize and that it used the number IFSC/60/349/TS/15 falsely; the commission also added the address tenkofx.com to the warning.
