Tribord Invest Scam: IPO Positions Eroded by Swap

Tribord Invest is not a single brand for Turkish investors but an infrastructure. Accounts of clients gathered by Turkish-speaking representatives under different names are opened on MetaTrader on the "Tribord Invest-live" server. When the front brand wears out it is replaced, but the server the money goes to stays the same. New reports from summer 2026 indicate that this infrastructure makes positions opened on an IPO promise impossible to close and erodes them with nightly swap.

🚨 The Firm's Own Statement: "We Do Not Serve Türkiye"
The heaviest contradiction of the scheme is on its own website. The risk warning on tribordinvest.com states clearly that the company does not provide services to persons resident in Türkiye. Even so, Turkish investors open accounts with Turkish-speaking representatives and deposit money by Turkish lira transfer.
This is not an ordinary inconsistency. On the one hand the firm in practice collects money from the Turkish market; on the other it prepares, on paper, a line of defence to deny responsibility with the statement "we do not serve Türkiye". When a dispute arises, this will be the first sentence put forward.
🔍 The Gap Between the Licence, the Address and the Phone Lines
- Stated licence: a brokerage permit from the Mwali authority of the Comoros Union. Offshore permits of this kind include no investor compensation fund and no effective supervision; they are documents that can be bought.
- Inconsistent licence number: the licence number is written differently on different pages of the site. An institution holding a genuine licence could not write its own number in two different ways.
- Stated address: Fomboni, Mohéli Island, Comoros, a mailbox address obtained through a corporate service provider.
- Published phone lines: +995 574 015 196 and +995 575 754 124. Both numbers carry a Georgian dialling code. That an institution claiming to be based in the Comoros conducts all of its communication through Georgian lines shows where the operation is in fact located.

🚩 The Process Repeated in the Reports
- The IPO hook. The investor is told that high gains can be made from domestic or foreign IPOs; concrete promises are made on specific share names.
- Stepwise increase of deposits. An account is opened with a small amount, then additional deposits are requested on the "adviser's" direction.
- Advance or extra balance. A bonus-type balance is added to the account, and withdrawal is tied to a trading volume requirement and in effect locked.
- Guided trading. The representative has positions opened by phone; the balance is eroded through trades in the opposite direction. This is unauthorised portfolio management.
- Block once a profit appears. A restriction is placed on the account without stated reasons; withdrawal requests are left unanswered.
- Erosion by swap. A profitable position is made impossible to close and the gain is worn away over time by carrying costs.
- Cutting off contact. After the block, the representatives can no longer be reached.
🔒 The New Pattern: The IPO Position That Cannot Be Closed, and Nightly Swap
Reports from summer 2026 show that the sixth step above now sits at the centre of the scheme. A representative who made contact under the name Trade Global tells the investor that they can take part in a share IPO "through the forex account" and has the position opened on the account on the Tribord Invest-live server. In reality, taking part in an IPO can only be done through brokerage firms authorised by the SPK, with the shares registered in the investor's name; a leveraged position in an offshore MetaTrader account has no legal link to an IPO.
When the IPO process is completed, a profit shows on the screen, but the investor is not allowed to close the position. Every evening a swap (an overnight carrying cost) is charged to the account, and within a few weeks the accumulated swap grows to nearly double the profit shown on the screen. When the investor objects, the answer is a standard one: "A trade is not closed immediately in IPOs; swap is charged because of the carrying cost."
This explanation is contradictory in two respects. First, when a person genuinely takes part in an IPO, the shares are recorded in the investor's account and no cost called overnight swap arises; swap exists only in leveraged derivative positions. Second, taking the authority to close the position away from the investor shows that the trade is managed not by the investor but by the platform, that is, that the balance is controlled by the platform. The aim of the scheme is to keep the profit screen on paper while bringing the balance close to zero through the swap item.
- Saying that the IPO will be taken part in "through the forex account"
- Refusing the "close" request even though a profit has appeared
- Swap items charged every night that exceed the profit
- No written breakdown of the swap amounts being provided
📅 Timeline
- Early 2026: Accounts of investors gathered by Turkish-speaking representatives under different brand names start to be opened on the Tribord Invest-live server; in complaint groups the server is marked as having "withdrawal problems".
- June 2026: Investors contacted under the name Trade Global have positions opened with the promise of taking part in an IPO.
- July 2026: New reports arrive that profitable positions are not closed and that the balance is eroded through nightly swap; no written explanation is given on the firm's side.
💳 The Collection Chain
Turkish lira transfers are made not to the broker's own name but to the account of a limited company established in Türkiye that has nothing to do with financial activity. This arrangement has two functions: hiding the trail of payments going abroad, and protecting on paper the firm's "we do not serve Türkiye" statement. An investor who finds that the money has gone to a company with a title entirely different from the institution they thought they were investing with often notices this late.
🔗 Brands Operating on the Same Server
Among the Turkish front brands that gather clients through the Tribord Invest server, Trade Global and Phase ForexTR stand out. In warning texts circulating in complaint groups, this server is flagged directly as a "server with serious problems identified in withdrawing money". In the new reports the server name also appears in front of the account number. However the institution facing the investor is named, as long as the server on which the account is opened stays the same, the operation is the same.
📉 SPK Status
Tribord Invest is not authorised in Türkiye by the Capital Markets Board (SPK) and has no legal entity established in Türkiye. A permit said to have been obtained in the Comoros does not create authority to serve residents of Türkiye. Taking part in IPOs and intermediating leveraged trades can be done in Türkiye only by institutions authorised by the SPK; authorisation can be checked in the SPK list of brokerage firms.
