Aave Scam Sites: Fake Crypto Platforms Misusing the Aave Name

Aave is the name of a well-known decentralised lending protocol in the crypto market. That recognition gives fake sites a foundation: they use the name in phrases such as "Aave stake", "Aave yield pool" or "Aave wallet". In the last days of October 2026 the Aave name came up in a Telegram channel followed by Turkish forex victims, and it was added to our records.
🔍 The Difference Between the Real Protocol and a Fake Platform
The genuine Aave protocol is not a company that opens customer accounts, appoints representatives or phones people; it also has no legal entity in Türkiye. An account that introduces itself as the "Aave investment team" is a separate party using this name without permission. In Türkiye, providing crypto-asset services requires authorisation from SPK under Article 35/B of the Capital Markets Law.
🚩 How Does the Trap Built on the Aave Name Work?
- A search-engine ad or Telegram message redirects to a domain that closely resembles the real one
- The victim is told to "connect your wallet", which gives a spending approval and lets the assets be drained
- A dashboard shows daily returns under the name of a "stake pool"
- At the withdrawal stage, an extra payment is demanded as a "network fee" or "liquidity collateral"
🔗 Other Platforms Using the Same Method
A yield promise dressed up in DeFi terms is nothing new; we have examined similar schemes in these earlier cases:
- Elitequestmarkets, which operated with a DeFi bot and a "withdrawal tax" demand
- The method of collecting money under the name of stablecoin and liquidity poolsTR
- Fenxa Stake, a fake staking platformTR
- Trust Vallet, which imitated a well-known wallet nameTR
🧭 The Legal Process
Schemes of this kind are assessed under Article 158 of the Turkish Penal Code as qualified fraud committed through an information systemTR. A case usually begins at the stage of a criminal complaint; an asset investigationTR then follows through the wallet movements and the accounts the money was sent to.
