AMEGA (AMEGAFX) Scam Warning: Mauritius Licence Disputed

AMEGA is a brand that, first at amegafx.com and then at amega.finance, had accounts opened for forex and CFD trading by offering a low entry amount and high leverage. Today the old address redirects to the new domain, and the new domain does not respond; finding a counterpart has become hard for users with a balance left in their account.

In short: AMEGA is not authorised in Türkiye by the Capital Markets Board (SPK). The claim of a Mauritius licence has remained disputed in independent checks, and the Securities Commission Malaysia has placed the brand on its investor alert list. Claiming back money sent to this platform is legally possible.

⚖️ The Licence Claim and the Official Warning

The brand has claimed to have obtained an investment dealer licence from the Financial Services Commission of Mauritius; however, findings that this claim could not be verified in the regulatory register have become public. The Securities Commission Malaysia (SC), for its part, added the name "Amega" in 2022 to its investor alert list of entities carrying out unauthorised capital markets activity. AMEGA does not appear in the list of intermediary institutions authorised by the SPK; decision No. 8/297 of 24 February 2017 of the SPK treats leveraged transactions made through foreign entities as unauthorised. Before investing, check whether a platform is authorised by the regulator in your own country (for example the FCA, ASIC or SEC).

🌐 The Move Between Domains and the Unreachable Site

amegafx.com was registered in 2018 and amega.finance in 2020. While the old address still redirects to the new one, amega.finance has not responded in our checks. This picture also matches reports in the public domain that the operation was wound up.

🔗 Other Brands Operating on a Mauritius Claim

We have earlier examined schemes that advertise a Mauritius licence but have no authorisation at all in Türkiye.

🧭 The Process for Users With a Balance Left

Even when a site closes, the trace of a payment remains in bank, card or crypto records. Starting from this trace, routes for a refund from a foreign firm are assessed, an asset investigationTR is carried out and, where necessary, an unjust enrichment claimTR is filed.

❓ Frequently Asked Questions

Are AMEGA and AMEGAFX the same platform?

Yes. The address amegafx.com still redirects to the domain amega.finance today.

amega.finance does not open. What happened to the money in my account?

Even when the site does not respond, payments can be traced through bank or crypto records; an account balance on its own does not show where the money is.

If it has a Mauritius licence, is trading from Türkiye legal?

No. In Türkiye, leveraged trading intermediation can only be carried out with SPK authorisation; a foreign licence does not replace that authorisation.

I cannot withdraw from my AMEGA account. What should I do?
