Moneta Markets Scam Warning: Withdrawals Refused as Bonus Abuse

Moneta Markets presents itself as an international broker regulated in several jurisdictions that keeps client funds in segregated bank accounts. In the experiences reported by users from Türkiye the picture is different: deposited money enters the trading account easily, but at the withdrawal stage requests are turned down on grounds such as bonus rules, risk checks and advanced verification.

In short: Although Moneta Markets (Moneta FX) declares foreign licences, it is not authorised in Türkiye by the Capital Markets Board (SPK). The main problem in user reports is that withdrawals of profit are refused for "bonus abuse" and "risk checks" without any concrete explanation. In disputes of this kind, legal routes exist for claiming the deposited money back.

🎁 Withdrawal Refused on Bonus Grounds: Reports From Summer 2026

User reports received in the summer of 2026 show that the withdrawal problem now follows a set pattern. Even though the investor states that he or she only wants to withdraw their own trading profit and has not touched the bonus amount, the request is rejected the next day on the grounds of "bonus abuse" and "bonus-related risk checks". Which rule was broken, and in which trade, is not explained in writing; the rejection merely refers to the general bonus terms, and no account-specific trade statement or finding of a violation is shared.

  • Template replies: The support team sends repetitive e-mail answers that contain neither a timeframe nor a solution.
  • A personal "investment adviser": The person acting as adviser on the account can be reached by WhatsApp and phone, but gives no concrete reason for the refused withdrawal.
  • Repeated requests without result: New withdrawal requests for the same amount are either left pending or rejected on the same grounds.

Crediting a bonus to the account can turn into a condition that later locks the withdrawal. We covered this scheme in detail in our article on granting a bonus and tying the withdrawal to a trading-volume conditionTR.

🚫 Other Complaint Themes About Moneta Markets

Besides bonus-related refusals, the following themes recur in reports submitted at different times:

  • ⏳ Account opening and refund delays: It is reported that account applications are rejected without reasons and that deposited amounts are held for weeks.
  • 📊 PAMM accounts: It is alleged that in PAMM accounts opened through providers such as NexoBot and Apexbot almost all of the capital was lost, and that the identities of the managers are not shared with users.
  • 🪪 Advanced KYC requests: At the withdrawal stage additional documents such as a passport and bank details are requested, and the process drags on even after the documents are provided.
  • 💼 Unpaid referral earnings: It is reported that affiliate (CPA) payments are not made on the grounds of "not enough clicks".
  • 📈 Hidden fees: Overnight fees that are not visible when a trade is opened, and high spreads on some indices, are said to be applied.
  • 📜 Account closure and waiver: It is reported that the accounts of complaining users are closed, and that texts containing a waiver of the right to seek legal remedies and to complain publicly are offered in return for a small payment.

There are also claims that some of the positive reviews are requested from users whose problem has been resolved; high-rated reviews alone should therefore not be taken as a measure of trust.

⚖️ Is Moneta Markets Legal in Türkiye?

Although Moneta Markets (monetamarkets.com) declares that it holds foreign regulatory licences, it is not authorised in Türkiye by the Capital Markets Board (SPK). SPK permission is required to offer leveraged trading services to persons resident in Türkiye; the authorisation of an institution can be checked in the SPK list of brokerage firms and through the steps of SPK licence enquiryTR. SPK Decision No. 8/297 of 24.02.2017 treats activities that bring foreign firms together with customers in Türkiye as unauthorised as well.

A foreign licence does not create a protection system for a Turkish investor. Whether the foreign law and arbitration clauses in contracts can be invoked against a consumer investor in Türkiye is separately debated; we examined this in our article on arbitration clauses in disputes with overseas brokers.

Note: Where withdrawal refusals, PAMM losses and offers of waiver texts come together on a platform that serves investors in Türkiye without SPK permission, obtaining legal support becomes important for the investor.

🔗 Other Platforms Using the Same Method

The scheme of granting a bonus and then locking the withdrawal on grounds of "rule violation" or "abuse" is not specific to one firm. We have previously covered other platforms where the same scheme was seen:

🧭 The Legal Process for Victims

In a withdrawal dispute with an overseas-based platform, the process generally moves through three stages:

  1. Legal characterisation: It is determined whether the refusal is a contractual dispute or an act involving deception; in the second case the criminal complaint process comes into play.
  2. Tracing the money: The channels and intermediary accounts through which the payment passed are identified; the routes for a refund from an overseas forex firm are assessed at this stage.
  3. Claim and lawsuit: Depending on the circumstances, refund requests and the unjust enrichment claimTR route are examined.

❓ Frequently Asked Questions

Are Moneta Markets and Moneta FX the same platform?

In user reports the two names are used together for the same platform. Under neither name does it hold SPK authorisation in Türkiye.

I did not touch the bonus but was told of "bonus abuse". What does this mean?

On accounts with a bonus, platforms can tie the whole of the trading profit to the bonus terms. The fact that the rule that was allegedly violated is not shown in writing is an important element in the legal assessment of the dispute.

Can Moneta Markets be held responsible for my PAMM loss?

The identity and authority of the PAMM manager and the platform's role in the process differ from case to case. Responsibility can only be assessed on the basis of concrete documents.

I was asked to sign a waiver in return for compensation. Does this affect my rights?

Texts containing a waiver can directly affect the ability to seek legal remedies. The position of an investor who encounters such a text needs to be reviewed legally.

I suffered a loss because of Moneta Markets. What should I do?
