Energy Wealth Investment (ew-investment.com) Boiler Room Scam

Energy Wealth Investment, shortened to EW Investment, is a scheme that approaches people unprompted with share offers themed on investing in the energy sector. The Dutch Authority for the Financial Markets (AFM) issued a warning in June 2026 about ew-investment.com over suspected "boiler room" activity.

🚩 What Is the Boiler Room Method?

A boiler room is a sales operation in which a call centre phones large numbers of people and persuades them to invest in shares that are "about to be listed" or "set to multiply in value". According to the AFM, the shares offered in this kind of scheme may be worthless or may not exist at all. Popular themes such as the energy transition are chosen to make the offer believable. In its decision No. 5/173 of 03.02.2017, the SPK warned the public against unauthorised investment steering.
