CX Investment Scam: Fake WebTrader Cloning an Australian Firm

A team that took over the name of CX Investment Pty Ltd, a company registered in Australia, collected investors through a trading panel at webtrader.cx-investment.io. The Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC) issued a warning that the scheme was imitating this company.

🚩 How Is Trust Built with an Imitated Company Name?

In schemes of this kind the representative points the victim to a company name that really exists in a company register; when the person checks, they see the record and are convinced. After the money is deposited, profit appears on the panel called "WebTrader", and at the withdrawal stage a commission or tax excuse comes into play. The real company in Australia has no connection with this site.
