client.octopus-firm.com Scam: Fake Octopus Investments Panel

client.octopus-firm.com is a fake site that looks like a "client panel" and was opened using the name of one of the UK's well-known investment managers. On 30 October 2026 the FCA announced this address as a clone of an authorised firm.
🪤 The Client Panel Trap
In clones of this kind, a panel with login details is opened for the investor; the amount deposited and the "returns" are shown as rising steadily. When the money is to be withdrawn, an additional payment is demanded on grounds such as tax, insurance or account activation.
Octopus Investments Limited, the firm being imitated, is a real company operating in London with FCA authorisation; it has no connection with the domain octopus-firm.com.
🔍 The Domain and Email Address Identified
- Domain: octopus-firm.com, registered in July 2026; its similarity to the real company's domain has been set up deliberately.
- Email: [email protected], with correspondence conducted under the name "Denis Philippe".
- Note: the FCA states that the clone may also use the real company's address and telephone details mixed in.
🔗 Other Platforms Using the Same Method
Sites copying the identity of a real wealth management company are not isolated examples. We have seen the same scheme on these platforms:
- C4 First: a Geneva wealth management clone
- SMH Markets, a clone forex siteTR
- The Quorum Capital clone and its returns plan
- The UK Clearing House Limited investment schemeTR
🧭 How Does the Process Work?

- An investigation is started with a criminal complaint.
- The victim exercises their rights as an intervening partyTR.
- Seizure and confiscationTR measures are requested on the accounts identified.
