FINQ Review: Unlicensed Forex Platform, Aggressive Cold Calls

FINQ is an unregulated scam platform: it places aggressive phone calls to investors, gives trading advice that leads clients into losses and refuses withdrawal requests. The evident aim is to drain clients' deposits very quickly and keep the money. FINQ is not authorised in Türkiye by the Capital Markets Board (SPK).

🚩 Scam Methods

  • Phone pressure four times a day: FINQ clients, especially larger investors, face aggressive account managers who call up to four times a day. The calls aim to unsettle the client psychologically and financially so that more money is deposited.
  • Manipulative trading advice: Account managers advise clients to open high-risk positions, which, paradoxically, produces large losses.
  • Withdrawal obstruction: When a client tries to withdraw, the system shows a "technical error" or the request is rejected without any explanation.
  • Forced additional deposits: In response to a withdrawal request, the client is told to "deposit more to complete your account".
  • Sudden stop of activity: After running into problems, FINQ abruptly stopped operating and clients received no information about it.

🔍 What Has Been Established

  • Unregulated, unlicensed activity: FINQ is not licensed by the FCA, CySEC, ASIC or any other financial supervisory body. It operates without any legal status.
  • Aggressive calling campaigns: FINQ clients are targeted by a call centre that phones up to four times a day. This is systematic harassment carried out without the client's consent.
  • Trade manipulation: Although the platform shows trades that appear to favour the client, all the accounts are in fact manipulated.
  • Sudden end of activity: FINQ stopped operating entirely in 2024-2025. Clients lost access to the platform even where money remained in their accounts.
  • Hidden payment arrangements: FINQ is reported to have tried to prevent chargebacks (reversal of credit card payments).

🛡️ Protection Guide

  • Four calls a day as a warning sign: When a broker phones about depositing money more than once a day, this is a recognised sign of fraud. FINQ's approach is transparent in this respect.
  • Licensed brokers: Unlicensed platforms such as FINQ operate outside client protection rules. Brokers licensed by the FCA, CySEC or ASIC fall under such rules.
  • Trading advice followed on autopilot: If an account manager's advice always leads to losses, that person is knowingly causing the loss. In such cases the instructions are best ignored and the relationship ended.
  • Delays in withdrawals: A withdrawal request that is not carried out within 3 days is a sign of fraud. A report to the credit card company is the usual route.
  • Rumours of sudden closure: On platforms like FINQ, clients occasionally hear rumours of a "closure". When it happens, clients typically try to withdraw their money at once.
  • Aggressive sales environments: When a broker phones aggressively about depositing money, leaving that environment is the sensible course whatever the client's financial reasons.

Where a client has been harmed by FINQ and cannot withdraw money, the evidence of phone pressure (call logs, emails) and the transaction records are the documents usually brought together. ❓ Frequently Asked Questions

FINQ calls me four times a day. Do I have the right to stop this?

Yes. This is called a "harassment call" or "nuisance call" and it is legally restricted. In practice, call times and dates are noted and recorded. A request not to be called can be made at any time. If the calls continue, it is an unlawful telephone campaign and legal action may be taken.

If FINQ stopped operating, where did the money left in my account go?

When FINQ shut down, client money was generally taken by the company's managers. Where the deposit was made by credit card, a chargeback can be requested from the card company. Legal action may also be possible by investigating FINQ's place of business, if one exists.

What can be done if I try to withdraw from FINQ and am refused?

The refusal is usually requested in writing by email first. A complaint can then be made to the government consumer protection authority or a similar body, and the credit card company can be informed. Finally, a legal adviser can be consulted.
