FTrade Scam Warning: Clone of Fortrade Limited

The UK financial markets regulator, the FCA (Financial Conduct Authority), has issued an official clone-firm warning about FTrade. FTrade is a fraudulent scheme that deceives investors by imitating the identity of Fortrade Limited, a genuine FCA-authorised investment firm. The real Fortrade Limited has no connection with this scheme; its name is being misused. Copying the licence number, logo and corporate identity of the real firm, this fraud network is not authorised in Türkiye by the Capital Markets Board (SPK) either, and offers no legal safeguards.
🔴 FCA Official Warning: FTrade Is a Clone Firm
The UK FCA has officially confirmed that FTrade is a clone of the legitimate firm Fortrade Limited. What this warning means for investors is very clear:
- ● The genuine firm that is imitated: Fortrade Limited — FCA-authorised, real address Michelin House, 81 Fulham Road, London SW3 6RD, official website fortrade.com
- ● Fake domain: FTrade uses domains resembling the name of the real firm, such as fortrade.broker. This leads the investor to believe they are dealing with the genuine institution.
- ● No FCA protection: The FCA states explicitly — "If you deal with this firm, you will not have access to the Financial Ombudsman Service or be protected by the Financial Services Compensation Scheme (FSCS)."
- ● No SPK licence: FTrade has no authority to provide investment services in Türkiye.
Fraud Methods and Victim Statements
Reports reaching us about FTrade, and victim statements on independent platforms, point to a highly systematic fraud operation:
- ● Building trust with a fake FCA licence: Investors are shown the FCA licence number of the real Fortrade Limited (609970) and told "we are a legal entity regulated in the UK". However, this licence belongs not to FTrade but to the genuine firm being imitated.
- ● Misleading advice and deliberate loss: In victim statements, the "advisers" assigned to the platform are reported to have given deliberately wrong guidance, causing serious losses in the investor's account.
- ● Withdrawal tied to deleting complaints: One of FTrade's most striking tactics is to consider a withdrawal request only if the investor deletes negative reviews on complaint platforms. This clearly shows the platform's effort to hide complaints and to manipulate public perception.
- ● Account freezing and access ban: The accounts of investors who insist on a withdrawal are frozen without justification and their access to the platform is blocked entirely.
- ● Gradual collection of capital: Trust is first won with small amounts, after which increasing sums are requested under pretexts such as "opportunity positions" and "VIP account upgrade".

🛡️ Protection Guide Against FTrade
- ● A firm's licence can be queried at spk.gov.tr — this is the only valid check for Türkiye.
- ● Small changes in a domain name, such as the difference between "fortrade.com" and "fortrade.broker", are the basic tactic of clone firms.
- ● Where an FCA licence number is displayed, it can be verified on the FCA Register, together with whether the website and contact details listed there are the same as those presented to the investor.
- ● An offer along the lines of "delete your complaint and the money will be released" is evidence of fraud and a clear sign that there is no intention to allow a withdrawal.
- ● For people who believe they have been victims, keeping all documents is the basis of any legal review. For detailed information and legal support, you can contact Savun Law & Consultancy.
