Geode Vertex Capital WhatsApp Stock Scam: Fake IPO Fees

Geode Vertex Capital takes people gathered through Instagram and Facebook ads into WhatsApp groups that it presents as an "AI-supported investment club". After trust is built with free stock analysis shared for weeks, "IPO" and "evening block trade" opportunities are put forward and successive transfers are requested; when the principal is asked for, a new payment is made a condition.

🕵️♂️ How Does Geode Vertex Capital Operate?
The process starts with an Instagram or Facebook ad, and the interested person is added to a WhatsApp group. Reports that peaked in November 2025 show that the group completes all stages in a cycle of a few weeks.
- 👉 The baiting period: Free stock analyses are shared in the group for weeks; a so-called assistant and a professor patiently build trust.
- 👉 A fake crowd: A significant share of the members are bots or team members; made-up success stories are shared constantly.
- 👉 The application: A balance is shown in an application called "Geode", installed from outside the official stores; the figures on the screen have no real counterpart.
- 👉 Transfers with no description: Payments are made with the description field left empty, to the IBANs of different companies, at short intervals and in many pieces. Leaving the description empty is meant to keep the investment purpose of the payment from appearing in the bank records.
🎭 The Characters Derya Aksoylu and Ali Kerim Akkoyunlu
Ali Kerim Akkoyunlu, who introduces himself as a "professor", and his assistant Derya Aksoylu are the characters used as the face of the group. Their profile photos appear to be taken from the internet or generated with artificial intelligence. In one-to-one conversations conducted in a friendly tone, the participant's financial situation is learned and unrealistically high returns are promised under the name "Wealth Plan" (Servet Planı).
💸 The Extra Payment Scheme with an "IPO" and "Original Shares"
The collapse stage begins with messages such as "there will be an IPO", "there is a block trade this evening" or "original shares have been allocated to you". Shares worth far more than the balance in the account are assigned, and it is said that the money will "burn" if the missing part is not deposited.
- ❌ Refusal to return the principal: When the investor asks only for the principal back, the request is refused; the return is tied to a new payment "for IPO shares". The amount demanded can exceed twice the total deposited up to that point.
- ❌ Balance freeze: When the extra payment is not made, the balance in the application is frozen and contact goes cold.
- ❌ Tax and fee demands: The withdrawal is postponed again and again with reasons such as "the IPO process is not finished" and "tax must be paid".
🔁 Names Used Before
Victim statements say that the same team previously operated under the names Ares Yatırım (Ares Investment), Black Rock, Nuveen Viking and Aksia Yatırım (Aksia Investment); earlier records also mention the names AMG Yatırım and Wellington. Some of these names belong to real asset management companies abroad; those companies have no connection with this scheme, and their names are used to create trust. The same staff reappearing under a new name when a group is shut down is a characteristic feature of this scheme.
🪪 Unauthorised Use of Personal Data
There are reports that the ID image, phone number and e-mail address requested on the pretext of opening an account are used without the investor's permission and shared with third parties. Because this data can be used to approach the same people again under other names or in different transactions, the harm may not be limited to the money sent. Transfer receipts and WhatsApp conversations are key documents for establishing both the flow of money and how the data was used. Geode Vertex Capital is not authorised by the Capital Markets Board (SPK); authorised institutions can be checked in the SPK list of brokerage firms.
