GKM Forex Scam Warning: Cold Calls and Blocked Withdrawals

GKM Forex presents itself under the name Global Kapital Management Investment Co. with a Cyprus address. It is an operation that phones investors and has them open a forex account. After the account is opened, trades are run on the instructions of representatives introduced as "experts" or "authorised persons", and when losses occur there is nobody left to answer.
🚩 How Does GKM Forex Work?
In victims' accounts, the first contact comes from the firm itself: the person is phoned without having applied for anything and is steered into opening an account with an offer of "forex investment". Once the account is open, trading decisions are left not to the person but to representatives introduced as an "expert", "authorised person" or "investment adviser". This scheme matches the typical pattern of fake investment call-centre operationsTR.
- Cold calling: The firm makes the first contact by phone; a landline and a WhatsApp number are used together.
- High-lot pressure: Advisers have high-lot trades opened, large relative to the account size, on the grounds of "closing the loss quickly".
- No stop-loss and counter-trend trades: Positions are opened without a stop-loss order and against the market direction; the balance melts away in a short time.
- Second account: When the first account is wiped out, a new account is opened with a promise of "compensation" and the same cycle repeats; the person's savings are lost in this second round too.
- Change of adviser: The representative is replaced before or after the account collapses, so whoever gave the earlier instructions disappears.
📉 Withdrawal Blocks and Loss of Contact
User reports say that withdrawal requests are left unanswered for days, are cancelled, or are met with a proposal for a new trade instead of payment. After the loss occurs, the representatives stop answering the phone; the person can no longer reach the "experts" who had the trades opened.
It is also reported that the firm approached investors under the name of a signal service and claimed a high success rate over months of contact. Other repeated complaints include that margin and lot information could not be clearly seen on the platform, and that delays at the moment of trading led to the account being stopped out.
🗓️ Timeline and Brand Variations
Reports about the firm peaked in the first half of 2025; in the summer of 2026, new losses were still being described, again involving cold calling, adviser instructions and account wipe-outs. In the reports the same operation appears under different spellings such as GKM Foreks, GKM Fx and GKM Global Tech.
The spread of brand names in this way indicates that the same scheme is being continued under different name variations. The pattern itself does not change: contact by phone, trading decisions handed to an adviser, a wiped-out account and cut-off communication.

🛡️ Checks Before Investing
- Checking the name of a firm that phones you against the SPK list before investing.
- Treating the offer "our expert will open trades on your behalf" as a warning sign in itself.
- Questioning why a foreign address and a Turkish phone number are used together.
- Before investing, check whether a platform is authorised by the regulator in your own country (for example the FCA, ASIC or SEC).
🔗 Other Platforms Using the Same Method
The scheme of contact by phone, trading decisions handed to an adviser and an account wiped out within a short time is not unique to GKM Forex. We have covered other platforms where the same method was seen:
- Excel Yatırım: accounts wiped out on adviser instructionsTR
- Algo Yatırım: draining accounts and blocked withdrawalsTR
- Duhani Capital: balances lost through "expert" tradesTR
- Lotas Capital: high-lot pressureTR
🧭 The Legal Process for Victims
That the firm shows a foreign address does not end the process; what is decisive is which accounts the payments went into. The general steps of the process are as follows:
- General framework: The route followed by forex victims
- Criminal investigation: The criminal complaint process in forex fraud
- Foreign element: Disputes with foreign brokers and the arbitration clause
- Routes to a refund: Refunds from a foreign forex firm
