Pravda Markets Scam: Telegram Promotion, Blocked Withdrawals

Pravda Markets is an overseas-based forex platform, operating through the domain pravdamrkts.com, that reaches investors in Türkiye through paid promotions in Telegram investment groups and accounts that inspire trust. User reports allege that withdrawals are blocked, that open positions are closed without the investor's approval, and that accounts are worn down through spread differences. There is no record showing that the platform operates in Türkiye with the permission of the Capital Markets Board (SPK).
🚩 How Does Pravda Markets Work?
Pravda Markets reaches investors through social trust rather than direct advertising. The firm takes paid placements in Telegram investment groups with many followers and presents itself as a "global brokerage"; group members easily open accounts on a platform recommended in a channel they trust.
- Telegram groups and paid promotion: Payments to popular investment groups give access to their members, and investors are directed to the platform on the suggestion of group administrators or representatives.
- Trust-building accounts and fake reviews: Social media accounts that look verified, together with paid promotional content on news and finance sites, give the platform a corporate appearance.
- Close follow-up by a personal representative: After the account is opened, a representative who contacts the investor one to one over Telegram gives guidance on trades and additional deposits.
- New conditions at withdrawal: When the investor wants to withdraw money, various conditions are put forward, the process is stretched out and no payment is made.
📉 Position Closures and Spread Allegations
Victim statements from August and September 2025 show that the allegations against Pravda Markets go beyond blocked withdrawals. Users claim that the platform also uses its trading infrastructure against the investor:
- Unjustified position closures: It is reported that investors' open positions were closed without their instruction and without explanation, and that the account balance wore away within a short time as a result.
- Spread manipulation: The difference between the buy and sell price (the spread) is alleged to be widened contrary to normal market conditions, driving positions into losses. Practices of this kind strengthen the suspicion that trades take place not in a real market but in a system controlled by the firm itself.
- Account closure without explanation: Similar reports say that investor accounts were closed without stated reasons and access to the balance was blocked.
- Rejection of withdrawal requests: Withdrawal requests are either left unanswered or postponed by tying them to new conditions.
In the firm's replies to complaints, it was stated that no account matching the contact details shared by the investor could be found, and the investor was asked to contact the firm directly. The reply appears to have been given about one month after the complaint. Statements of this kind, that the account "could not be found" in the records, increase the importance of the receipts, correspondence and screenshots the investor holds.

⚖️ Legal Position and the SPK
Under Capital Markets Law No. 6362, offering intermediation in leveraged forex and CFD trading to persons resident in Türkiye depends on obtaining SPK permission. Pravda Markets does not appear on the SPK list of authorised intermediary institutions; how to verify an institution is explained in our guide to SPK licence checksTR.
Unauthorised capital markets activity may constitute a criminal offence under Article 109 of the Law. Depending on the features of each case, building the relationship of trust through social media and Telegram, turning trades into losses in a system controlled by the firm, and blocking withdrawals may also bring an assessment of qualified fraud (Article 158 of the Turkish Penal Code) through the use of computer systems as a tool. The validity of an account agreement set up with an unauthorised platform is also open to dispute, and a refund of the money paid may come into play through civil law routes.
🛡️ Points to Watch for Protection
- Platforms recommended in Telegram groups and promoted by accounts that look verified offer no legal protection if they have no SPK record.
- Positions being closed outside your own instruction, or an excessively widened spread, can be a sign that the trading environment is not independent.
- Correspondence, receipts, trade history and account screenshots are the basic evidence against statements that the account "could not be found".
