Vintalorix Scam Misusing Türkiye Petrolleri and Baykar Names

Vintalorix is a scheme that presents itself as an investment platform offering stock market and crypto trading, but when it reaches investors it puts forward not its own name but the names of some of Türkiye's best-known public and defence-industry companies. The person who is phoned is led to believe that a nationally known institution is offering an investment opportunity; after the money is directed to an account opened on vintalorix.com, the balance cannot be withdrawn and open positions cannot be closed.

In short: Vintalorix is not authorised in Türkiye by the Capital Markets Board (SPK). Türkiye Petrolleri and Baykar have no connection with this scheme; their names are being misused. The scheme inspires trust among people it reaches by phone through these names, collects money in investment rounds that stretch over years and keep growing, and leaves withdrawal requests without result. There are legal routes for tracing and claiming back money sent by bank transfer (havale/EFT).

📞 The Phone Call in the Names of Türkiye Petrolleri and Baykar

The first element that stands out in victim statements is that contact begins not with an advertisement or a website but directly with a phone call. The callers introduce themselves as connected with Türkiye Petrolleri and Baykar and claim that a "corporate" investment opportunity in the stock market and crypto is being offered under the names of these two institutions.

This choice is no coincidence. Two names that the public knows well, one in energy and one in the defence industry, give the listener both trust and a sense of taking part in a national project. Instead of researching what the entity on the other end really is, the person trusts the familiar institution's name; the real name of the platform, Vintalorix, appears only at the account-opening stage, in the background.

After this stage, conversations continue by phone, and trading instructions and investment suggestions are again passed on by the same "representatives". Earlier user reports also said that at some point communication was moved to WhatsApp, to people titled "specialist" or "finance officer".

🏛️ No Connection With the Institutions Whose Names Are Used

Türkiye Petrolleri and Baykar are real institutions operating in Türkiye, and there is no data showing any connection, representation relationship or investment partnership between them and the scheme described here. Türkiye Petrolleri and Baykar have no connection with this scheme; their names are being misused, and these institutions are the parties whose reputation is damaged in schemes of this kind.

The deciding point is this: for stock market, leveraged trading or crypto intermediation to be offered to people resident in Türkiye, authorisation from the Capital Markets Board is required. Mentioning the name of an energy or defence company does not replace intermediation authorisation. Vintalorix has no such authorisation, and funds transferred to the scheme fall outside investor protection mechanisms.

📈 Investment Rounds That Stretch Over Years and Keep Growing

One of the features that sets the Vintalorix scheme apart from similar ones is its duration. User reports say the relationship stretched over about three years, meaning contact with the same person has continued since at least 2023. This long period shows that, instead of a quick "hit and run", the scheme aims to keep the victim in the system for as long as possible.

The process typically opens with a small initial investment. The profit shown on the panel becomes the reason for new and larger investments; each round comes with a higher amount than the one before. In the end, the total amount sent reaches a significant size. The high balances seen on the user panel are based not on real market data but on figures entered by those running the system; relying on these "paper gains", the investor is steered towards taking out loans or increasing their savings.

🔒 The Withdrawal Block and the Verification Loop

The common account of victims is that the deposited money cannot be withdrawn in any way and that open trades cannot be closed by the user. When a withdrawal request is made, the transaction shows as "pending" or "processing" and stays suspended indefinitely without any error message.

Some users say the system did not approve even though they completed the verification steps in full. This "endless verification loop" is an artificial barrier built to keep the money inside the platform. The inability to close positions serves the same purpose: the user cannot turn the balance seen on the panel into cash; they can only watch it.

💸 Demands for Extra Payments as "Tax" and "Fees"

When a withdrawal is insistently requested, an extra payment is demanded under the names of "tax", "case fee" or "legal fee" so that the transaction can be completed. The fact that these amounts are requested to be deposited again from outside rather than deducted from the balance is the clearest sign of the scheme. At authorised financial institutions such deductions are made automatically; the customer is not asked to "pay first, then we will release your account".

It has also been reported that when the user questions the legal status or insists on a withdrawal, the representatives, who inspired trust at the start, harden their tone and move to abusive language.

🏦 Payments Split Between Individual and Company Accounts

According to victim statements, payments are sent by bank transfer (havale/EFT) not to a single corporate account but alternately to IBANs belonging to individuals and IBANs appearing under company names. Changing the receiving accounts often and splitting them between individuals and companies is meant to get past bank controls and make tracing the money harder.

The recipient of an investment made with an authorised brokerage cannot be an individual unrelated to investment activity or a company in a different line of business. Even so, when these receiving accounts are assessed together with bank records and the phone numbers used for contact, they form important digital traces in the case.

🎣 The Second Wave: the "Fund Recovery" Offer

After the loss comes to light, victims receive a different offer this time. People who make contact from a UK-coded phone number introduce themselves as an entity that enables victims to get money back. Such "fund recovery" offers are known as a second scheme aimed at people harmed by the first fraud, and they usually end in a demand for advance payment.

These offers, which arrive right after the loss and where it is unclear how your contact details were obtained, are often fed from the same source as the first scheme. The process of getting money back can be pursued through legal routes, not through the promises of unauthorised people.

🛡️ What to Look At Before Investing

  • Verifying the intermediary, not the institution name. Mention of a well-known company's name does not show that the entity offering the investment service is authorised; the SPK list of authorised institutions is the place to look. Before investing, check whether a platform is authorised by the regulator in your own country (for example the FCA, ASIC or SEC).
  • The title of the receiving account. A request to send investment money to an individual's account or to a company unrelated to investment is a warning sign in itself.
  • Treating offers that arrive by phone with suspicion. Energy or defence companies do not phone individuals to offer stock market or crypto investments.

🔗 Other Platforms Using the Same Method

Borrowing the names of large institutions the public trusts, over the phone, is not a method specific to one platform. We have covered the other schemes where the same story was seen:

🧭 The Legal Process for Victims

Gaining trust by using the names of well-known institutions and taking money in this way is treated under the qualified fraud provisions of the Turkish Penal Code. In cases of this kind, the process generally goes through the following stages:

  1. Criminal complaint: The criminal complaint process begins with an application describing the events, the phone calls and the flow of money.
  2. Legal characterisation: The use of an institution's name and the organised structure are assessed in terms of the aggravating circumstances of qualified fraudTR.
  3. Tracing the money: An asset investigation and identificationTR is carried out through the individual and company IBANs.
  4. Exposing the organisation: The team of representatives who keep calling is examined within the framework of a fake investment call centre operationTR.

❓ Frequently Asked Questions

The callers spoke in the name of Türkiye Petrolleri and Baykar. Is Vintalorix connected with these institutions?

No. There is no data showing any connection between these institutions and Vintalorix. Well-known institution names are used only to create the first trust and to delay questions about the platform itself.

I have had an account with Vintalorix for years. Doesn't such a long period show the platform is real?

No. In this scheme, duration is not proof of legitimacy but part of the method. As the relationship goes on, the investment rounds grow and the total amount sent increases. A balance shown on the panel carries no legal value as long as it cannot be withdrawn.

I made payments to the accounts of different people and companies. What does this mean?

Splitting the receiving accounts between individuals and companies is meant to make the flow of money harder to follow. Even so, every bank transfer (havale/EFT) record is a valuable trace in the case for identifying the receiving accounts.

After the loss, someone phoned from a foreign number offering "fund recovery". Is this reliable?

Offers of this kind are known as a second scheme aimed at victims of the first fraud and usually proceed with a demand for advance payment. Getting money back can be pursued through a legal process, not through the promises of unauthorised people.

I was harmed by Vintalorix. What should I do?
