Grand Pro Trade Scam: Fake FCA Claim and 18% Tax Demand

Contents:

The Grand Pro Trade forex and crypto scam has recently misled investors with false promises such as "FCA licensed" and "payment guaranteed", and demands high "tax" fees from victims at the withdrawal stage. Presenting itself as Grand Yatırım (Grand Investment) or The Grand Pro, this network keeps changing its address in an attempt to lose its trail. In the cases we have examined at Savun.av.tr, investors who wanted to withdraw their earnings were pushed to pay an additional 18% tax, and even when the payment was made, the money was never sent.

In this report we set out in detail the fake websites used by the Grand Pro Trade scheme, how they deliberately liquidate accounts, and the legal steps involved in recovering victims' money.

⚠️ FAKE LICENCE WARNING:

Although Grand Pro Trade (Grand Yatırım) claims to hold a UK FCA licence, this is entirely false. The company is not authorised in Türkiye by the Capital Markets Board (SPK). The documents it shows are fake papers produced with Photoshop.

🚨 SUSPICIOUS DETAILS IDENTIFIED

  • ❌ Fake websites: thegrandpro.com, trade.grtrpro.com
  • ❌ Method: the 18% tax/withholding lie
  • ❌ Contact: WhatsApp only (lines starting 0507 and +90 numbers)
  • ❌ Risk: account wipe-out (liquidation) and blocked withdrawals

🕵️‍♂️ 1. What Is the Grand Pro Trade Scam?

The fraud network in question traps investors by constantly changing addresses (`thegrandpro.com`, `trade.grtrpro.com`). Presenting itself as a corporate forex firm, this scheme is in fact a "Ponzi" system where money goes in but never comes out.

Investors are first made to open an account with a small amount such as 100-200 USD. Balances are raised quickly on screen (on fake MetaTrader-style panels). But these profits are virtual and are staged only to excite the investor.

🎭 2. The "Tax Payment" and the 18 Percent Deduction Lie

The most distinctive feature in the reports is the "tax" obstacle that appears when a withdrawal request is made. In the Grand Pro Trade forex and crypto scam system, victims are told the following lies:

  • 👉 The 18% tax condition: "To withdraw your profit you must pay 18% tax (withholding). We cannot deduct it from the balance; you need to deposit cash."
  • 👉 The completion trap: Even after a tax payment of 144,000 TL, more money is demanded again with the words "You paid only half; no money is released until you pay it in full."

🚫 3. Account Wipe-Out and Cut Communication

If the investor refuses to pay the tax or becomes very insistent, an "Investment Advisor" steps in. The victim is made to open deliberately wrong counter-trades (for example a highly leveraged trade against the market).

The aim is to wipe out the account through a "Stop Out". This gives the scheme a chance to tell the investor "the market went against you, you lost". Once the money is completely lost, or when the tax trap has not worked, phones are blocked and WhatsApp communication is cut off entirely (ghosting).

⚖️ 4. Legal Routes for Victims

For those who have lost money to this fake scheme, the idea of "paying the tax to get my money" is a mistake that only increases the loss. In practice, contact with the fraudsters is cut, while all WhatsApp messages, screenshots of the balance on the fake panel and, above all, the receipts of the IBAN transfers through which money was sent are preserved. Tracing the money, having the accounts blocked and managing the prosecution process professionally can be handled through our office. Specialist support is essential for the process to run correctly. ❓ 5. Frequently Asked Questions

Is the Grand Pro Trade FCA licence real?

No. The licence documents shown on their websites are fake. There is no institution authorised under this name in the UK FCA register.

If I pay the tax, can I get my money?

Definitely not. Demands such as "tax" or "file fee" are the fraudsters' last attempt at a final strike. Even if this money is paid, they do not return the funds.

Why was my account wiped out?

Because of insistence on withdrawing money. To avoid paying you, the fraudsters deliberately open wrong trades and "liquidate" your balance. This is a tactical process.

Why does the website keep changing?

Because they are detected by the SPK and blocked from access. Each time they are blocked, they take a new domain and continue the same fraud.

I sent money to a front company. What happens next?

This is strong evidence for an unjust enrichment claim and a criminal complaint for fraud. A legal process is started without losing time.
