Hijaglobal Markets Scam: Borsa Durağı Telegram Group

Hijaglobal Markets is an operation that gathers investors through groups on Telegram and WhatsApp such as Borsa Durağı (Stock Market Stop), and shows a trading screen on its own MetaTrader 5 server. In the groups there is an administrator who introduces himself as "Mert Hoca" (@mertdmrtrade), along with a crowd of members who constantly share winnings; after the money is deposited, demands for tax and extra fees follow one another at the withdrawal stage.

🚩 Mert Hoca (@mertdmrtrade) and the Telegram Scheme
The basic tool this operation relies on is "herd psychology". The account that introduces itself as "Mert Hoca" (Mert the Teacher) and uses the username @mertdmrtrade is the public face of the group. When a newly joined investor asks a question, the other members (bot accounts or accomplices) share screenshots of winnings with messages along the lines of "Hocam, we made a profit thanks to you" (Hocam: Teacher). This artificial crowd gives the investor the feeling that "everyone is winning", aiming to suppress doubt and get them into the system through a QR code or a link.
- An unlicensed administrator figure presented under the title "Hoca" (teacher)
- Winning screenshots and thank-you messages shared constantly in the group
- Steering to a MetaTrader 5 account by QR code or link
🔍 HijaGlobalMarkets-Server and Server Records
Although investors are told "we trade on global markets", the server connected to in MetaTrader 5 appears as "HijaGlobalMarkets-Server", and the name Serhat Kondakcı appears in records linked to this server. Presented under the name Hija Global Markets Ltd., the operation looks less like a corporate brokerage than a system running on a rented ("white label") server, where the price and the balance can be set by the administrator.
At a real brokerage, server names are tied to the institution's official title, and its SPK authorisation can be verified on the SPK list of authorised brokerage firms. Hijaglobal Markets does not appear on this list. SPK Decision No. 5/173 dated 03.02.2017 warned the public against unauthorised investment steering through social media and messaging channels.
📢 A New Wave in the Borsa Durağı Group (2026)
The operation first drew heavy complaints in December 2025. User reports from June–July 2026 show that the same group continues its activity under the name "Borsa Durağı … Hoca", used together with a "teacher" name. In this new wave the scheme moved through the following stages:
- Contact through Telegram: The investor was approached through the Borsa Durağı group and given the impression of investing in a legitimate trading platform.
- A high amount in a short time: Within a few days the investor was steered into making transfers to bank accounts belonging to different people, and a significant sum was sent.
- Many "team members": Many accounts in the group wrote to the investor and held voice calls; this crowd reinforced the impression of a corporate team.
- Personal data collection: During registration, personal details such as the ID number, full name and e-mail address were taken through the system.
- Blocking: When payments stopped, the group administrators and the accounts the investor had been writing to blocked the investor.
The collection of personal data creates a separate risk: this information can be used to approach the same person again later under the guise of "money recovery" or an "official institution". The splitting of the money across accounts belonging to different people points to an organised operation working with a call centre and intermediary accountsTR.
💸 The Withdrawal Stage: The Tax and Extra-Fee Cycle
The real face of the system appears the moment the investor wants to withdraw money. Even though the balance looks high on the screen, the following scenarios come into play once a withdrawal request is made:
- Tax fee demand: More money is requested with the claim that "no exit is possible without paying the tax on the profit", although tax is withheld at source and is not requested in advance.
- Constant extra fees: In 2026 reports it is said that after each payment a new payment was requested on a different ground, such as commission, a transaction fee or account activation.
- Server / account error: Time is bought with the excuse "there is a problem on the server, identity confirmation is needed", and additional personal data is requested.
These demands never end; after each payment a new expense is produced and the principal is not returned.
🔗 Other Platforms Using the Same Method
Telegram stock market groups built around a "teacher" figure, with extra fees demanded at withdrawal, are a scheme our office often encounters. We have covered other groups in which the same method appears:
- Helif Hoca: a Telegram group run by a "teacher" figureTR
- Borsa Nabzı (Stock Market Pulse): a Telegram group scheme carrying a stock market nameTR
- Kararlı Yatırımcılar (Determined Investors): fake winnings shared inside the groupTR
- Vizyonumuz Borsa (Our Vision Stock Market): a Telegram group demanding new payments at withdrawal
🧭 The Legal Process for Victims
- A criminal complaint process is carried out on the basis of bank receipts, IBAN details and Telegram chats.
- The group scheme, the fake crowd and the use of computer systems bring the case within qualified fraudTR.
- The holders of the accounts to which the money was sent are identified, an asset investigationTR is carried out and the refund claim is assessed; the general path for victims is described in the process guide for forex victims.
