IntesaFx – Scam Misusing the Intesa Sanpaolo Name

IntesaFx presents itself, under the name "İntesa yatırım" (Intesa Investment), as a brokerage with a "different format and a client-focused approach". In doing so it uses the name and reputation of Italy's long-established bank Intesa Sanpaolo, which makes it a fake forex scheme. Trust is won through bonus promises, "investment experts" who call by phone and a seemingly profitable MT5 account; at the withdrawal stage, extra payment demands begin and contact is cut off.
🏦 How Is the Intesa Sanpaolo Name Used?
Intesa Sanpaolo is a real, supervised bank headquartered in Italy. IntesaFx uses the bank's name and its corporate associations to present itself as the bank's investment arm or business partner. While the investor believes they are dealing with a well-known European bank, the money is in fact being sent to an unsupervised platform that has no tie to the bank.
Using a real institution's name in this way is a typical example of the method known as bank and brokerage impersonation. Intesa Sanpaolo has no relationship with this scheme; one of the harmed parties is the bank itself, whose name is used without permission.
🔍 The Theosmarkets Server and the MT5 Connection
In user reports, accounts opened under the IntesaFx name are seen connecting to the Theosmarkets server in the MetaTrader 5 (MT5) application. This detail matters: while the investor is shown the Intesa name, the trading infrastructure relies on the same server as the Theos Markets forex and crypto schemeTR, which was earlier found to have caused losses through a different story.
MT5 is only software; the fact that the application is legitimate does not mean the server connected to it is. The party running the server can show the prices, the balance and the profit on the screen as it likes. The use of the same server under different brand names points to a single organisation operating with several fronts.
🚩 IntesaFx's Fraud Methods
The scheme moves through successive stages:
- First contact by phone: People introduced as "investment experts" call the potential investor repeatedly and have them open an account.
- Pressure to "complete" the account: After the first small deposit, more money is requested on the grounds that the account must be "completed" up to a certain level.
- Bonus and wrong trades: The withdrawal is locked through a bonus promise; the trading instructions given by the advisers push the account into losses.
- A balance that looks profitable: The panel shows a balance inflated with profit, so the investor believes the system works.
- Excuses for extra payments: When a withdrawal is requested, new money is demanded again and again on invented grounds such as "tax" or a "fixed exchange-rate difference".
- Loss of contact: When no payment is made, the advisers disappear from the phone and WhatsApp and no one is left to talk to.
Sharing fake licence documents is another method used to strengthen the corporate image; however, none of the documents shared is a valid permit in Türkiye.
⚖️ SPK Authorisation and the Legal Position
IntesaFx holds no intermediary authorisation granted by the SPK; authorised firms can be checked on the SPK list of brokerage firms. Building trust with a bank's name and collecting money this way is assessed under the qualified fraud provisions of Article 158 of the Turkish Penal Code.
