Billabongbrief Scam Warning: AI Investment App Posing as News

Billabongbrief is a page under a domain that looks like a news bulletin and, through the path "/ai-app-au", markets an artificial intelligence investment app to readers in Australia. Following a warning from the Australian regulator ASIC, billabongbrief.com was added to the IOSCO I-SCAN list on 28 October 2026.
📰 The Trap That Looks Like a News Page
In schemes of this kind the reader meets, on a page resembling a real news article, a story about "daily earnings with an AI app". Contact details are collected through a form at the end of the page, and then an "adviser" calls.
- The news-style language and the country-specific address path make the advertisement look like neutral content.
- Quick profits appear on the dashboard opened with a small first investment.
- At withdrawal, a new payment is requested under the pretext of commission, tax or account verification.
🔍 The billabongbrief.com Registration
The domain billabongbrief.com was registered in September 2026; the page that was the subject of the warning is the Australia-targeted path /ai-app-au. The operation is not among the institutions authorised by SPK. SPK has adopted Decision No. 5/173 on unauthorised investment solicitation through social media and the internet.
