Efon Global Markets Scam Warning: Short Payments, Blocked Accounts

Efon Global Markets, also known in the market as Efon Markets and Efon FX, is a platform that says it trades forex and crypto through MetaTrader 5. It came to attention for allowing small withdrawals to build trust, then paying out less than requested on large withdrawals under the pretext of a "bank deduction", and for closing the account of investors who complained. The platform's address, efonglobalmarkets.com, lasted only one year: it was registered on 10 August 2025 and not renewed on 10 August 2026.
🕵️ What Is Efon Global Markets (Efon Markets / Efon FX)?
Efon Global Markets is a money-collecting scheme dressed up as a classic forex broker. It tells investors it trades for them on a well-known trading platform such as MetaTrader 5, but the authority to manage the account rests with the platform. The profit or loss seen on the screen does not come from real market trades; it consists of figures entered from the management panel.
The operation has no permission to operate in Türkiye; none of the names Efon Global Markets, Efon Markets or Efon FX appears on the SPK list of authorised brokerage firms. In June 2026 its name also appeared in a Turkish-language forex complaint channel among the platforms shared by people who could not withdraw their money.
The common point in the complaints is the same: the firm first gains trust by allowing small withdrawals; when the amount grows, or when the investor wants to leave the system completely, withdrawals stop.
🔍 A One-Year Domain: efonglobalmarkets.com
- efonglobalmarkets.com: registered on 10 August 2025; it expired on 10 August 2026 and was not renewed. As of October 2026 the address has fallen into the redemption stage before deletion, and the site no longer responds.
- Similar addresses: efonglobal.com, efonmarkets.com and efonglobalmarket.com were never registered; the operation worked with a single address.
- Names used: Efon Global Markets, Efon Markets and Efon FX are different ways of naming the same operation.
A one-year registration and an address that is not renewed are typical traces of schemes that collect money in a short time and disappear. After dropping an address, such operations often carry on with the same team under a new name and domain.
🎭 The Advisers' Stalling Tactics
The "advisers", referred to in investor statements by initials such as C... Y..., form the persuasion team of the operation. Their job is to keep the investor in the system and prevent money from leaving. The known tactics of the call centre model with constantly calling representativesTR are seen here too:
- Stalling: an investor who wants to withdraw is kept waiting for weeks with excuses such as "at finance approval", "there is a queue" or "the system is being updated".
- Cutting contact: when the investor insists or says they will complain, they are blocked on WhatsApp.
- Closing account access: the MetaTrader 5 login password of an investor who complains is changed and access to the account is shut off completely. In this way the trade history and balance screen are taken out of the investor's hands.
💸 The Hidden Deduction and Short Payment Trick
The method that stands out in the complaints about Efon Global Markets is the arbitrary deduction. When the investor asks to withdraw money from the account, an amount considerably lower than requested arrives in the bank account. When asked about the difference, two explanations are given:
- ❌ "The bank deducted a transaction fee." A fee of this size cannot arise on domestic transfers; the platform itself sends the money short.
- ❌ "A brokerage commission." A deduction that was not announced in advance and does not appear in the contract is not a commission but a seizure.
This step is a test of the investor: if the deduction is accepted, the balance left inside is drained with similar methods. A later stage often brings a demand to "pay tax or fees to withdraw the rest of your money"; such a payment only enlarges the loss.
🚩 Where Does the Money Go?
In platforms of this kind, the investor's money is collected in two ways: by bank transfer to accounts opened in the name of a person or company, or by asking the investor to open an account on a crypto exchange, buy USDT and send it to a wallet supplied by the platform. When a blockchain record is created instead of a bank record, the money is spread across several steps. We explained this transfer pattern in detail in our article on forex money transferred to a crypto exchangeTR.
The closure of a site does not erase the trail of the money: the records of the bank account the payment was made to, the transfer receipt and the crypto wallet continue to exist regardless of the domain.
🔗 Other Platforms Using the Same Method
We have previously reviewed platforms that use the "Global Markets" naming pattern and produce similar excuses at the withdrawal stage.
- CFX Global Markets: a forex platform with the same naming patternTR
- Power Global Markets: a forex scheme that blocks withdrawalsTR
- Birlik Global Markets: an adviser-led platformTR
- Winex Markets: a scheme that closes the account of a complaining investor
- Qevandorix: a platform that ties withdrawal to a commission paymentTR
🧭 How Does the Legal Process Proceed?
Article 109 of Capital Markets Law No. 6362 defines carrying out capital markets activity without permission as a crime, and SPK Decision No. 5/173 of 3 February 2017 also warns the public against unauthorised investment guidance over the internet and social media. In these cases the decisive element is the asset investigationTR into the accounts the money passed through; for transfers abroad, recalling the SWIFT transfer may come into play, and against account holders an unjust enrichment claimTR may be brought.
Transfer receipts, WhatsApp conversations and MetaTrader screenshots are the core documents of the process. For detailed information and legal support, you can contact Savun Law & Consultancy.
