Finance AU Scam: Fake Investment Site on a Typo Domain

Finance AU is an investment site running on the "au2" subdomain of finenceau.com, a domain in which the word "finance" is deliberately misspelled. The "AU" at the end of the name and the serial number in the subdomain suggest a scheme that targets Australia and offers the same content through several copies.
🔎 Warning Signs in the Domain Name
- finenceau.com was registered in September 2026; only the au2 subdomain is live, while the main address returns a blank page.
- The hosting infrastructure provider shows visitors a "suspected deceptive site" warning when they open the address.
- The ASIC alert entry points directly to the au2 subdomain.
🎣 From Visitor to Investor: How It Works
Misspelled domains and numbered subdomains are used to open a fresh copy whenever advertising is blocked. On sites of this kind a visitor's phone number is collected first; an "account manager" then calls, asks for a small initial deposit and shows profits on the dashboard. After larger sums are sent, withdrawals are held back with excuses such as a tax, insurance or "liquidity" fee.
Finance AU is not authorised in Türkiye by the Capital Markets Board (SPK); this can be verified on the SPK list of intermediary institutions. SPK Decision No. 8/297 of 24 February 2017 expressly treats unauthorised intermediation in leveraged transactions as unlawful.
🔗 Other Platforms Using the Same Method
We have previously covered these schemes, which also take investments through newly opened addresses and an "account manager":
- DNA Markets: a CFD site that received an ASIC alert
- Molen Waardhoph: a promise of automated investing
- CA-TDX: a package-account schemeTR
🧭 The Legal Process
- The team that steers people by phone is assessed together with the findings on fake investment call centresTR.
- For the accounts that received the money, an asset investigationTR is carried out.
- The general framework of the legal routes is set out in the article on refunds from overseas platforms.
